  • Whoa. Wicked sound at 17:57. Was that from the Hornet that landed or the one that was overhead?

  • The overhead one, which was the black Hornet.

  • was that an F14 at 2:41?

  • 8:00 I WANT THAT AGGRESSOR :D sick

  • Yep, the F-18 makes that sound when above 450kts. Its because of the shape of the intake. The new Hornet does not make that sound. I flew them in VMFA-122 from 1985-1989.

  • 8081rt, are these F-18's from the navy?

  • LT Dalby-Cindy Loo yeah (Y)

F-18 Hornet the best war planes in the world

  • How the hell do you get so close?

  • Oh, and "AD" coded F/A-18's are based at NAS OCeana, VA. Both VFA_106 and VFA-125 are Fleet Replenishment Squadrons and are 'typical' visitors to El Centro.

  • "NJ" F/A-18's are from VFA-125, NAS Lemoore, CA

  • Great video. These guys seem to be in monterey all the time. Every couple of weeks we'll get em in here at MRY. Where are they from?

  • nice ATARS hornet from the combats.
