  • @matt0smith E39 540i has the same 6 speed pattern and M lever, also brushed aluminum can be found on the same car. But you're right, it's an M5 and only thing you can tell the difference from 540i's interior is the cluster. In this video you can see rpm scale with rpm limit lights and the most important thing, red needles. Only M vehicles have red ones, all other bmw's have white. Also engine oil temp. gauge is another indicator it's an M car, with the exception of 335 model which also has one.

  • So if i have the little screen and replace it for the widescreen, its just plug and play?? or i need any extras modifications??

  • I have tape and radio cd stack in boot can i fit this into my e39? thanks.

  • Where do you buy the bigger screen(wide screen) and for how much?

  • @matt0smith yea, its def an M5 the other models came with wood trim.

  • lol this video is useless...it is like 1/4th of the whole process, why not delete this?

  • Hello Bimmer, I am In Deep Sh**t.

After upgrade my software on MK4 from sw4-1/30- downloaded doggy copy of V31 or V32, now i dont have english as one of 3 optional languages. I only now have german, Italian and French. Appart from learning new languages is there any way i enable GB? In the image disk i can see GB but on the upgrade sequence only Shows I,D and F and displays that no changes needed for languages. Appart from learning new languages, have any of you what can i do to fix this. Thx

  • I think his car is an M5, hence the 6-speed pattern o nthe M lever. I think that style of brushed darkened aluminium was also standard on M5. He also refers to E39s which would imply this car is a 5-series.

  • that's because of the cd changer dude.

  • Before working on a cars electrical system you should first?? "Disconnect the battery!!"
