Edward Nye was the father of Bill Nye not Louie Nye :P

Yay! It's so good to see this again! When I was a kid, my friend and I memorized this skit and did it for a talent show both at our high school and at church. We always got a ton of laughs and we actually won second prize for doing this at our school talent show. My dad had taped it on VHS when it came on TV, but the tape bit the dust many years ago. The opening line is, "Hi, when can I get these clothes back?" I would love to see the whole special again!

Louie Nye, in this video, is NOT the father of Bill Nye, the Science Guy. Louie's son is Peter Nye, an artist. Bill Nye is the son of Edwin Nye

Which movie or show is this from?

Hadn't seen it thanks for sharing.

I love it. It's hilarious.

@DecentFabian This isn't Bill Nye's father, but this is the Louis Nye (Neistat) from Steve Allen show. He also was on Curb your Enthusiasm for like 5 years before passing

never seen this before, pretty funny!
-
If I remember right the first line is "Hi, when can you have these clothes cleaned?"

That's Louis Nye with Steve Martin. Nye is brilliant comedian himself and a pioneer of early TV comedy, who made his name on the early Steve Allen Show. His is also the father of Bill Nye, the Science Guy.
If this isn't in the public domain, I'd sure like to know where I can buy it. I had this special on video tape a long time ago and loved it. Even as a kid I loved the bit where he re-enacts Marty Robbins El Paso.

I promised I've looked and could not find this clip anywhere, whether for sale or somewhere on the Internet. I worked at a TV station in the 70s when I so loved this clip that I found a way to keep it on 3/4" U-Matic tape. Then, that tape got lost for years until I found it not long ago. I dubbed it to DV tape, but lost the opening line due to no timecode track well enough ahead of that first line.
