This year I already had a Brain tumor, leuchemia, skin cancer, liver cancer and also a bit of hyperthyroidism.
I also have palpitations for a long time and a couple years ago I actually didn't care for it because I knew it was normal. But after my hypochondria was "triggered" I always think that this palpitations mean that I'm going to have a heart attack. I can't control it. One day this was a normal thing. Now, it's the end of the world...

I appreciate you sharing your story big time. I suffer from really bad health anixety too. I had an experience like you as a kid. about 10 years old only mine lasted way longer and was pretty bad. got over it. was ok through the rest of grade school till mid 20s and slowly in my late 20s and now 30 I am suffering again. Some things have triggered me again.

Stop coffee, junk food, cigars, sugar, ARTIFICIAL-SUGAR NO NO (USUALLY IN SUGAR FREE BEVERAGES), stop all substances that excite body and cause withdrawal symptoms. You're having a withdrawal symptom with palpitations, tachycardia and whatnot. Same was here :( ... it took me a lot of time to figure it out.

i regonized alot in your story, thanks for sharing. what are your thourghts on SSRI's? doctors and psychotherapists has recommended them, but iam very sceptical of drugs

@alpinestate some people do really well on them and some people get no benefit from them. The probability of you having any real issues with them is slim. If they work for you, they can be life-saving.
Personally, I didn't get much out of drugs, so i stopped taking them. It was tough, but i didnt have a lot of options. Try what your doc recommends, and if they don't work, or make you feel worse, tell them, asap.
They may want you to try a different dose or a different type.
