For over 17 years, Mali Klein has been researching the many health benefits derived from using Essiac, the four-herb tea developed by Canadian nurse Rene Caisse in the 1930s. She has co-authored four books on Essiac, in partnership with Sheila Snow, the latest being The Complete Essiac Essentials, 2010. Sheila Snow worked directly with Rene Caisse and was close friends with Rene's long-time friend and helper Mary McPherson, who continued to supply Rene's patients with Essiac for 20 years following her death in 1978. I (Debbie Jakovac) have dedicated myself to continue the work of keeping the knowledge of this indigenous North American herbal remedy alive, clearing up some misinformation about Essiac, and advocating for research on Essiac with the sheep sorrel root included in the formula, which to date has never been done. I also dedicate myself to providing an organic, high quality source of the herbs in the original formula, sheep sorrel root included. Stay tuned for much more information on the Essiac herbs and Rene Caisse's work as Mali and I formally begin our collaboration!
