After Effects Hallway Explosion Test

With the help of videocopilot's Action Movie Essentials and stock footage I have created my first big, fiery explosion. This technique will probably be used in Daemon Film's new, soon-to-be-uploaded, comedic short, "Cookie".

i have a question if i import action essentials 2 effects to after effects cs3

i get the black background as well. how can i get rid of the background

Try adding a curves adjustment and a slight feather to the guy, it should help blend it more. Also, camera expressions are you friend.
