However cool this flowerpot was it has me heartbroken knowing how it would have looked if it had preformed properly...
The shell was a 2x5" cylinder shell with an inner break of glitter stars and an outer break of tigertail and magnesium flying fish. The four 3/4" shell inserts also used glitter stars.
I'm fairly certain that the failure was caused by a tight fit in the mortar. Gotta try this one again...

i made a 2" shell from TT stars and some flying fish fuse... How can i get a good break from my black powder???? Do i need to fill the holes of the stars up with bp? i can't find rice husks, can i use regular rice? or rice crispys??? hmmmm go see my vid and tell me what i can do =D add aluminum powder to it?

@9DragonMaster Fill all empty space with granulated black powder. Rice hulls are usually not used in canister shells. Rice crispies actually do work as a suitable replacement for hulls, but you do not need them here.

is it possible for a cylinder shell to be fused in the bottom???

@historysky Only for small shells. Anything 3"and up will almost always fail if not top fused.
