  • was that window made of of plastic?

  • Yes..... I was a little shocked myself, but it is much cheaper to replace glass with Plexiglas. I have seen this on multiple fires out here

  • so the actual window was made of of plastic or was it a storm window? where can u buy Plexiglas windows, i want one

  • I believe the entire window was plexiglas. You can actually go to just about any hardware store and they will cut a piece to your specifics, bring it home and throw it in the hole. Just saved yourself some cash, although I couldn't do it

  • I am a career fire Lt. (20years) who makes 4 to 5 working fires a month and not wearing your SCBA is just @#%*&%!$# DUMB!

  • So many things I didn't like in that video...

  • @markis8441 how about u play it for ur safety i bet ur a small town firefighter tht only gets 5 calls a month

  • @markis8441 are you even a firefighter? if so maybe a little more experience is what you need befor you make comments like that.

remember, our safety is always first, then public safety and then property.

i understand it didnt look like alot of smoke but get your head back in the game and worry about yourself and your health. if anything think of your family and use all of your gear. thats what its there for.

  • @markis8441 That kind of mentality is what gets guys killed or causes them to have cancer before they're on the dept. long enough to retire. When the shit hits the fan you don't have time to put on your mask, it's already too late. The mask is what enables you to survive those close calls. There's been a lot of fires with FF deaths that "didn't look that bad".

  • Idiots that think firefighting is running up to the first window they see and busting it out.

  • @343NeverForget911 just because the books and stuff say you have to wear your SCBA doesnt mean every single person going into a smoke filled building will put their mask on even if they are wearing the pack. it did not look like that bad of a fire especually compared to what my area has had a few of lately(fully involved flames shooting out windows upon arival of 1st unit). least those guys have their SCBA on incase shit hit the fan and they had to mask up. you cant always play by the books.

  • I bet he wasn't expecting the window to do that haha.

  • for the guy with the SCBA on not waring your mask tho whats the point of straining yourself carrying around the pack if your not gonna ware it ?

  • 1.25 whos the smart guy that went in without his mask?? he does know the smoke is toxic...right....
