E01: Tails in GHZ

Add-on for the old E01 (Project Mettrix) Sonic fangame engine featuring Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1

This video was originally posted on a Sonic the Hedgehog messageboard in 2002, about a couple of months before a playable release, directly following the Knuckles video (See that video for more details). As I created it by causing the game to save an image for every game frame and merging them into an AVI, it has no sound

The purpose of the add-on was to compare the performance of the E01 engine with that of the official games. It was well-received and hailed as the most accurate reproduction for it's time, but it was still flawed, and has since been replaced by E02

Another reason this video/add-on was of interest was that, at the time, neither Tails nor Knuckles had been made playable in the original Sonic 1, though these were things I had been able to accomplish properly in 2006 with "Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Sonic for MegaCD"
