It doesn't show that he really ripped off the posters. It could be anyone ripping them off and he was just walking by the same area. The video doesn't even show him postering either...there is no link.
He could just be walking away because he is from Ryerson and would be questioned why he is at UofT..not because of the posters.

hah, the girl at 3:15 tried to convince me to vote for "stronger together" a couple days ago. I stuck around to see what she had to say, and I wasn't impressed. (also: I've always liked what EFUT does, you guys have great events)

To brapster: Admitting it doesn't solve the problem. An apology doesn't cut it for me.
I assume that the Rye policy is the same at UofT: a poster may only be taken down by a NON-custodial worker if a) its date has passed,b) it is not endorsed by any body at Ryerson (RSU, Department or RCS) or c) if it is in violation of postering rules, content or placement.
The RSU President should know better than that - what a shitty way to represent Ryerson in the public sphere. Shame on you Toby.

TLDW; ITT you should post something more solid, right now I'm dropping logs with more substance.

please repost the followup vid somewhere else and post a link

he certainly acts like he did, but there isn't any footage of him actually tearing down posters.

hahahahahaha

I go to Ryerson and Toby was just elected RSU president, many question the way he was able to win, especially with money missing from his run as finance last year and the court cases against him from other students
I don't see him tearing down any posters. The so called video evidence shows him walking with a piece of paper in his hands. The garbage near the doors where Toby walks in is closed top, the garbage showed in the clip is clearly not the same one. I don't see any proof that he tore them down. And plus even if he did tear them down, maybe they weren't according to the code such as requiring a stamp? This video is too shady.

Toby Whitfield was interviewed by campus police in relation to this matter. Toby Whitfield did not deny tearing down EFUT's posters.
Toby did however apologize, explain that it was a misunderstanding, and was issued a warning.
You can contact campus police at 416 978 2323. Ask for Const. Monique Altmann.
