I have ocd and I actually find myself unable to cope without taking niacin, I was taking prozac + seroquel however the side effects are unbearable.

500mg is enough to allow me to have conversations, concentrate on work ect..

Esther, I'm on similar meds - Cymbalta and Atavan. The Atavan, a benzo, is the first I want to get off, but it could be a hellish journey (one has to taper off very slowly). I'm starting Niacin for my severe depression and also to help with the Atavan taper. 3,000 mg is a lot, but I think that's good because it works and it's hard to overdose on Niacin. Dr. Saul, from another YouTube video, said one lady got on over 10,000 mg and that worked!

You need nicotinic acid not niacinamide. Don't get the slow release version either, just plain niacin(nicotinic acid).
