Hi everyone!
This blog is meant to teach non-Cebuano speakers the basic grammar skills they would need to converse in Sinugbuanon. Since this is my first video, it's going to be somewhat like the typical "How to speak..." video that just shows a bunch of phrases for you to memorize WITH some in depth explanations of those phrases and even some tangents! Yay!

Enjoy the video and Comments are welcome as long as they are appropriate ;-)

Also, this video had to be split into two parts because it was a bit too long. I over did it. Poo. Consequent videos will be, however, much shorter (or so I will try, I tend to babble). You will notice I said Y'know too many times in this video lol.

Enjoy!

Here's the link to the second part by the way:

  • Thanks ur very helpful going to the philippines with my bf and his family speaks cebuano!! ^^ keep it up!

  • @liltwilite good luck! I hope these lessons have helped a little. They aren't complete though so I'm not sure how far you would get with just these lessons :-P

I am adding more though, so keep an eye out!

  • That's a very good reply from your coworkers! ha ha. I know that 'ok ra' is a really short answer but since the point for this channel was to make it more grammar centered, I didn't just want to make this video another 'memorize these phrases' kind of video.

And actually, it's my native language. I've just grown up outside of the phils, which is why I have difference of tiny word choices, but it is still cebuano! Also, I think the ratings might be low cuz this video isn't grammar center?

  • Excellent, excellent video. It's nice to have your in depth explanations about things that are often assumed, but not at all obvious for a native english speaker -- your explanation of the apostrophes as placeholders for cebuano contractions come to my mind.

  • salamat!

  • no lie, you sound like me O.O. Its kinda scary to listen to this but...VERY HELPPUL :DD

  • lol boang mani ..dili siya kabalo og visaya...lol

  • More , I need more! Thank you btw for making these. I have forgotten most of my cebuano and the other YT tutorials all show such a proper way of speaking. You remind me of the way I heard everyone speaking when I was in the Phillies. I miss it so much. I want to learn it again so please, make more. (If you have time.) Thanks.

  • oh its like tagalog alil bit
