  • How do you mean ArmyRescue2??

  • how come 1 pump carries a 135 only, and the other only carries a 9m?

  • @phenomanam : As a firefighter myself in Suffolk, i can tell you that a 13.5 ladder is very rarely used in modern day to day firefighting, but when needed is a very useful tool. So as a result, in London, on 2 pump stations the 'Pump Ladder' carries the 13.5 so that this vital but not that busy piece of kit is carried on an appliance. The 'Pump' on the other hand carries a much more nible and easy to pitch 9m ladder which is more regularly used, this also saves weight as the pump goes out more!

  • Whats an AFA? I cant think what it means. IM used to the spanish terms now.

  • AFA differs from brigade to brigade, but means the same thing. it will either be found down as:

    Automatic Fire Alarm or

    Acutaing Fire Alarm

  • Cheers Mate Much appreciated x

  • Very nice video mate

  • Excellent video mate, nicely done. Just one tip though, try standing nearer the barrier by the road as it saves getting pedestrians in shot.

  • @ArmyRescue2

Why not? gets the job done, look nice! Go for miles, durable!

(Theres a station down by where i live that are still using an 1981 Mercedes Uni Mog!)

  • are you guys actually proud of your equipment?

  • @P999FFB yeah i know the 9m is a lot handier, but i was just questionin why not have it on the pump ladder as well. over here in nifrs, all our number 1 wrls carry a 135 and 9m ladder whilst the number 2 wrls carry a 9m. this way u have the choice between which ladder to use at 1 pumpers i.e chimney fires

  • @P999FFB Ireland its known as FAA fire alarm activation...

  • cool video dude! that mini was so cliche haha

  • also may be know as AFD automatic fire device (or detector im not sure)

  • Haha that's quality it actually fooled everyone because you hear the two tones at first theny ou think like one of the machines int eh appliance bay is going to turn out first but then from the side the Pump turns out
