Rossi/Frost - Ships In The Night (from the Mitchell Coe Mysteries - 'EXILED' LP)

My first YouTube video! Purely because I can't find this track anywhere on-line.

This is 'Rossi/Frost' (Status Quo's Francis Rossi & occasional Quo songwriter/collaborator Bernie Frost) with a track called "Ships In The Night".

The song featured on a 'War Of The Worlds' style concept LP from 1980 called 'Exiled' which featured various artists under the name 'Mitchell / Coe Mysteries".

FR is a big ELO / Jeff Lynne fan and this is very much in the style of ELO. I've always enjoyed this one and its a bit of a rarity I think. Hope you like it...

PS. Sorry about the sh1tty green wall (blame the previous owners and my lack of enthusiasm for decorating).

Thanks for the comments folks. Don't believe this ever got released on CD. In my teens a friend had this album and it wasn't until a couple of years ago (over 30 years later in fact) that I finally managed to track down my own vinyl copy, mainly to hear this great song again. Got it from a 2nd hand LP 'car-boot' sale event type thing at Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival. Not seen one before or since.

This fantastic track sung by Francis Rossi in 1980 (Exiled album on RCA) was mysteriously ‘buried’ soon after its vinyl release, but has recently been unearthed, re-mastered and transferred to CD! Check out this link!
