Oh, that's a lot closer than Anacapa is to the Channel Islands Harbor here in California. Well, if I make it to Australia, with the programs I'm trying with I'll be sent either to Perth or Brisbane. It looks to me like no matter which place I go, I'll have a wonderful time out there.

About 20 minutes by car from Perth City to the ferry and then as fast as 25 mins km by boat to the island depending on conditions.

Man, I've been watching too many controversial Australia vs. American videos. I need to spend more time on the beach videos, especially those in Perth, since I'm trying to study there for a year. The clarity of the water is unbelievable! I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, if these videos will just help keep me going in this year-long wait or if it will make the wait all the harder. I want to go soooo badly! Ever since around New Year, it's all I can think about.

We normally go from Hillary's, but we too have just bought a cruiser, and will be trying it out for the 1st time in 2 weeks.

great place 2 be i used to take the ferry but my family bought a 28 foot sport cruiser we take that ther now it only take about 40 mins on a calm day

A bit more than a few minutes out of Freo (between 30-45minutes in calm conditions).
That's the 'Basin' beach you've got there. Most popular spot on the Island. I go there a few times a year just to go diving in that spot. Infact I'll be there in a few days :) Hope you enjoyed it.
