FOREX VIDEO - London Session Review - December 7, 2009

Normally when I make a video I focus on a complete trade setup, start to finish, that we 100% planned/executed in the London session classroom, I do not like to make a video's on things I did not cover totally live in the classroom. Today however, by member request, I am making a video on a GBP/USD short trade plan that I planned and executed prior to taking the London microphone. Although we did have some minor short term reload activity during the London session, this video is meant to more show how/why I planned this USD strength trade to begin with, and how I got in so early, and reloaded it, so as to help FXBootcamper's in the planning phase of their trading day.

After last Friday's NFP results came in, the USD had been very bullish. There was no reason to believe that would change today, since that bullishness had broken recent technical levels, and with no new USD news being released during today's London market to change anything fundamentally. One look at the 4hour and Daily charts of nearly every major USD pairing was showing us in pullback mode during late Asia and into early Pre-London. In this video I show how I created a plan to short the GBP/USD based on this information, and ultimately got short from a long term chart plan using a short term 1-3minute chart confirmation to actually pull the trigger. This trade took us all through the London session, with very little opportunity to reload until the London lunch arrived, and paid a nice amount of pips, and even more if you traded the USD as a basket. The individual early GBP weakness however got the GBP/USD moving before the others woke up.
