"Internet and Empires" - Lauren Weinstein's Talk at Google - 1/24/2006
In January 2006, Lauren Weinstein was invited to Google's Los Angeles (Santa Monica) facilities to give an informal talk on a range of Internet-related topics. This is the video of that presentation.
The covered topics included a number of the controversial issues related to Google, but also more generally privacy, free speech, ISPs, data retention, government and legal issues, censorship, DOJ, network neutrality, China, and more.
Thanks to Google for providing a video master for processing.
All of the opinions expressed in this talk are Lauren's, and should naturally not be construed to represent the views of Google, Inc.
