  • I think the best version (where everyone's in tune) was on cassette (yes cassette)...all CD versions I've heard are this (slightly out) version.

Not that this version is not stunning- but hate to say there's a better one out there.

Also, I've since google the orignall poem and it's great!

  • @ramirofauve1 i must respectfully disagree, sorry, but i do not hear anybody out of tune on this song there are barely any other versions of this song as successful as this is!

  • on of the best songs ever!

where is the original poem from????????

there MUST be a better version of this out there...someone please upload.

in this version everyone is out of tune in the beginning and full of record skips/pops.

I heard (and treasure) a version I heard long ago and just can't seem to find...which is flawless.

    ....anyone??

  • @ramirofauve1 umm excuse me? i dnt know what u hear but not only is the song free of skips and stops but i dnt hear anybody out of tune! i dnt know what u hear. this is the most clearest, and THE BEST RENDITION OF THIS SONG THERE IS OR WILL EVER BE!!!! thanks..no other version has tighter harmony, better sounding leads or NO CHOIR that can hold a note as long as Insty did on this song! thanks

  • @ramirofauve1 I have the original crew on a CD. I'll try to manage it so we can compare it.This one seems more polished than what I have and a bit less powerful. Still a wonder ful poem . I'll see if I can add it too

  • YEs!!!! I remember reading this poem in High School and being pulled in so many directions before arriving at it's poignant message by poem's end.
