Episode 10 James Burke's Connections³, which is the last episode of the last installment in the Connections series. And yes, the surpise ending (which, if you haven't guessed, is actually hidden in the tags)!

If you've gotten this far you know all about this series and how it relates to K-web (http://k-web.org). Enjoy the show, 'cause there's no more to come :'( . But, I will keep searching for achive material to feature on the main channel page. And, in any case, there's always something new there!

So now you know. Yes, we've come back right to where we started (ie. from episode 1)! Which means we've gone in a circle. Well, that's one way to go in a circle, but there are in fact infinitely many ways. And what do we get when we merge an infinite number of circles from the same starting point? Well, if we put the origin of the universe as position (0,0) and we'll just arbitrarily assume we go around the same "distance", we get a kind of sphere!

Which is why I renamed the series to Connections³ instead of "Connections 3" as it is really named. Because this series, if reproduced over and over again gives us a 3 dimensional universe of concentric "connection spheres" with the origin at T=0 (the big bang). The last series was much more 2 dimensional as a sequence of random walks. Those shows were more like random "slices" in "connection space".

YES YES!@!!! Talk to him about it. I mean he could just sit on a chair...with an old fashion pipe and just explain things with updated clips or not...or simply images...i would love to hear his opinion on the many wars that occured since his last show...Maybe his insight of what's to come given the things happening now...i mean he's good at connecting things that have happened....maybe try with things to come? Maybe even a simple youtube account with him talking about all sorts of things.

I have no idea... I think he's probably in good health, but ya... creating a whole new show would be a lot of effort (never mind the funding!).

Perhaps he could create a show that goes back to these episodes and probes more deeply into the various events and characters presented. That would only require a voice-over narrative which Mr. Burke is quite adept at ;)
