My Message to the leaders.
Greetings to the world leaders, My name is Owen Omondi from Kenya.
Leaders guided by the G20 need to come together, communicate, be honest, respect and trust each other.
You need to promote peace, secure the world from terrorism, acts of piracy, nuclear threats and general insecurity.
The donor community should ask the developing nations to account for the support they have been giving and seek transparency in their acts to tame poor governance and corruption.
You need to push for academic funding, establish flexible scholarship opportunities for needy and bright students to promote universal education.
You all need to commit to environment conservation and combat global warming as a team, with actions and not words without which the future generations will suffer from our negligence
Developed nations should offer expert medical support, provide drugs and equipment to developing nations with poor facilities and services for improved healthcare.
You should fund quality infrastructure development, build dams to control floods and store water for irrigation and harvest natural energy for economic development.
Agricultural projects should highly be funded to increase food production without depending on nature to eradicate hunger.
The implementation of these and other ideas will enable us realize the goals by 2015.
We are the world and I am because you are.
Thank you for the opportunity to talk to the world leaders.
You have a very strong message. And you are right if no one is listening, words are just wasted. We need action and funding. The western and more developed parts of the world need to start thinking creatively to provide solutions and resources to help with development. They need to start thinking out of the box. Most of all, we must act as one world where the concerns of one nation are the concerns of every nation.

@onemustaskwhy . I support your view. Our world today is faced with complex problems that in a way need simple solutions but our leaders keep sticking their heads in the ground seeking complex solutions and thats why the masses keep suffering. Its time to be honest and commit to attaining the MDGs.

Big thank you to President Obama for the efforts aimed at brigning peace in the middle east. I wish other leaders may join in as well, since the realisation of peace in the middle east will mean alot for the whole world.
May the UN too beef up its efforts in trying to promote understanding in the whole world with the support of its ambassadors.

potentially to do with the lighting issue - get outside to a green area? Shows that you're connected and very much a part of life, instead of couped up inside? UN is about action as much as anything and being outdoors and getting close to issues is a key thing for them I can imagine - hence their peace treaty missions etc ....
