@600trillion wow you're ignorant. Which country has legalised guns and therefore has no violent confrontation between citizen and criminal? Do you know the answer? The answer is no country. When you legalise guns, in most cases you still require official licensing so the black market persists, you also make it easier for everyone to have a gun, including criminals. @600trillion if people in Britain had guns during the riots, don't you think rather than just homes and businesses being burnt down, you'd have a lot of dead bodies on the streets? Sure, people would be able to whip out a pistol and wave it around at the groups of people looting and vandalising, but that'd inevitably lead to the groups of people looting and vandalising pulling out weapons too, which would lead to armed police, and more violence. It wouldn't solve anything!
