That statement only made sense, to me, in the way I think of it. Parents don't count, only the kids. Eight kids, with the ninth being Statler or Waldorf.

How awesome; Statler and Waldorf own Berle. That was really great scripting.

Berle - one of the all-time GREATS.

This was all clearly scripted... and it just shows what a true genious he was, to go for the Comedy and not the Ego.
