Actually, I have to give Berle a LOT of credit. I saw this about a year ago, and for the longest time I thought he was seriously flustered at Statler and Waldorf's antics. But after watching it a couple dozens times, certain ways he does double-takes reveals that this was a fairly rehearsed battle and he's intentionally playing up his own frustration for entertainment value.

I haven't seen this show in probably 25 years. I remember it vaguely, but i am laughing so hard i have tears running down my face. No comedy has ever made me laugh like The Muppets . Sure do miss it. :-(
