I think you're right about the gas. Bacteria would give it off if they were able to grow in there.

One of the best things about lowbuck is his Humility. Many people need to learn from this trait. Keep the vids coming lowbuck.

Things with higher fat contents tend to go rancid unless refridgerated. Things like carbs (including sugar) and proteins should store for a good while once dehydrated.

awesome info - double bagging items with sharp corners/edges is seldom mentioned and can be critical. The off gassing correlation with dead things was on the crude side, and perfectly expressed to help everyone understand what to watch for. AWESOME

ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THE "FOOD SAVER" NEVER TRY TO STORE ONIONS....THEY GIVE OFF GAS THAT WILL CAUSE THE FOOD TO GO BAD ....I LIKED THE VIDEO ...MATT TOLD ME ABOUT YOUR SITE....JUST SUBSCRIBED...:)
