it amazing to watch trains go where ever they want to in the snow, and tracks will magically appear behind them.

I did not think that they used coal burning trains any more?

Man, I'm not much of a train person, but I always find these steam engines to be just awesome to watch :D Great video!

the steam came out really black

@lightningbolt543 I'd hate to be the one to inform you of this. But the black stuff is smoke, which is produced from burning coal.

WOW, here in Newfoundland we also used push plows very simular to the one shown here and worked just well, the brute force of steam certinally shows here for sure. BTW: Do the puch plow shown here also have a flange underneath to help clear the tracks below the plow? Newfoundland push plows were equiped with these flanges as well some had flanges that would out from the side of the plow! Nice video i really got to say! 5 stars!!

@radionut63 yes, this plow does indeed have an out flaring flange. as for the steam locomotive, it has more power than the diesel locomotives.

@wwrr98 i not agree diesel got power and speed to plow the snow you seen other video it 7 feet snow plow by diesel

@paul8246 i can rebut that. i dont care what is said, nothing is faster than a steam locomotive. a diesel engine can only go so fast because it is limited. you are unlimited with steam. as long as you can keep feeding steam to it, you can go as fast as you want. plus, steam is extremely powerful. nothing can beat the power of steam. the only reason steam went out was because of high maintenance. diesel are cheaper and easier to maintain, but steam is a better choice for both power and speed.
