Nice video, man. I don't really like this period in warfare, but the video was pretty sweet.

I have a question: is this like "Starcraft" where you build up your base, and raise troops? Or is it like "Rome: Total War" where you buy your troops at the beginning, deploy, and then fight immediately?

Hey, sorry for delayed response. This game can be played "Deathmatch" style which is building, resource gathering, etc. The Hawks club does not play it that way however...we create historical maps with troops already placed and fight battles this way. Visit my web site, tons of info there and a Forum. By the way, this mod is not out yet....will probably be months before it is, but we play the Napoleonic precursor, EW also for AmericanConquest/Fight Back right now.

Worse is having 3 ranks deep firing mass volleys but yet being in a tight formation which should not allow it, as well as engaging at what almost looks like around 50 yards but hardly any men go down in those massive volleys, and friendly regiment rushing through another while that other is firing I mass but yet you don't see anyone dieing? It's rediculious.

Ummm Sorry but the troops move too quickly, and the infantry are not behaving right, they do not fire whens already in melee combat in a mass volley, thats retarded, maybe random men shooting off when not individually engaging an individual with a already louded musket.

you need to look past the graphics at what the Hawk mod does for the game. Up to 16,000 men can fight against each other on maps that are 2 square miles in size! Teams of 3vs3 can play against each other in truly epic battles. yeah, the graphics are a bit dated, but the gameplay/w mod is unique and cant be beat. no other strategy game out there compares

I agree about the first point you make, well for the other, its a qestion of taste i would say.

Which is stupid because:

1)you can reinforce a veteran company without losing experience.

2) Moral all depends on how experienced the company is. one company can make you win or lose. Having to micromanage all your companies sucks.

However cossacks 2 is clearly superior feature and content wise.
