Muse Jokingly Mime "Uprising" On Italian TV (with translation)

Muse were asked to mime their single "Uprising" by an Italian television show. In response they decided to mess them about by all swapping places leaving Matt on drums, Dom on bass and lead vocals, and Chris on guitar and keys.

Muse have won "best live act" 12 times.

Lesson: Do NOT ask them to mime.

...????... [Do you have the translator?]... Their new album "The Resistance" was recorded entirely between Milan and Lake Como, so they love our country. Why? [Why? Why you love so much Italy?]

- We love being here, but our drummer Matt actually lives at Como. So we built a recording studio there, and we had lots of fun, it's a very beautiful place to be creative.

- I know that one of you three is actually engaged to an Italian, an Italian psychologist.

- Yes, our drummer.

- Ok, this album.... What did they say? Clooney, Clooney as well. Is your drummer's house better, or George Clooney's? Going back to before.

- I think that George Clooney's is probably better... It's gigantic, grandiose...

- [It is a big castle, Buckingham Palace,] that's it, no. You really like symphonic music, I have read, you have 40 pieces here, here in Milan, why, basically this mix between rock music and symphonic music?

- We have always been a bit influenced by Chopin for example, people of this calibre, so we have always aspired to that, this time we thought... to... get an orchestra of 30 or 40 pieces, to do something that we had never done before, it was a fantastic time.

- You speak a lot about apocolypse and about real problems, your album came out the 11th of September 2009, I don't think that's a coincidence. [September 9/11]

- No, that was just a coincidence. Someone might think it's a conspiracy theory, but no, now we are in a different period, a different country, there was no message behind the date for us with the release of the album.

for comparison only: black holes and revelations is one of the best albums ive ever heard... i think they need to go a few steps back
