Sue the crap out of them honey!!!! The landlord where we lived did the same thing. They threw all of our belongings out without notifying us or telling us whether we could come and try and salvage anything that was left. Funny thing is that I saw a video with a bunch of strangers/ volunteers who were allowed to just dig through people's personal belongings talking about how sad it was because someone's high school yearbook was left behind.

Well now that is sad,these people have no place to live because of their dumbass landlords who are just worried about themselves. i hate landlords,there all dic heads!!

Ha! I love how you have a camera and now the gov't wants your papers. "Papers please."
However, I don't agree that the gov't should get involved by passing rent controls or eviction freezes. The FASTEST way to make this worse is to gum up the marketplace while it's trying to sort out this problem.
If you want to know what happens when you institute "temporary" rent controls, look at NYC

Excellent, excellent video! The camera footage and editing is wonderful. I especially like the angle on the ground :) I co-produced & co-directed the "Not Racist" PSA and I am glad to know that there are others spreading the word about unfair and discriminatory housing practices in New Orleans. Keep up the great work. I look forward to future media projects from your group.
