The right to peaceful protest only exists in theory. Police have always meted out violence to people challenging so-called authority. The only difference these days is that the cops are now doign the same thing to white people as well as black. Poor Ian Tomlinson was murdered by a cop because that cop was radicalised into a mind-set of "Them and Us" and its a midset that has existed for many years
