All of you are wrong. The car was just an SE in which was partially converted to an R/T with everything minus the doors and hide away headlights grilles. Trust me, I know this particular car far better than any of you.

That's exactly what it is, and with all 5 options. Since you could not get it officially but was ordered to be one what do you call it ? Better yet, when seen, confirmed, and the S.E. pkg. deletion explained what would anyone call it? A R/T S.E. that's what ! Vin tag ?....the vin will indicate a 2nd digit S (special) as a R/T and nothing more. A R/T S.E. is never in just the vin, its a R/T vin with the S.E. in the fender tags. "This" is common knowledge, so what else are you going to tell me...

@ChallengerAerotech That doesn't make it a RT/SE your Car is a RT with SE options
-
@ChallengerAerotech 5 SE options doesn't make it a RT/SE I am aware there were some Car's made that were never meant to be example? 72 RR's and Rallye Charger's with 6 pack Motors if you DO have a RT/SE then lets see the vin tag and put this to bed once and for all. (and even the vin can be fabricated) sorry, but you are talking to someone who knows much more about 3rd Gen Charger's than you do and I say that with no disrespect toward you if you want to believe you have a 71 RT/SE then fine...

5 Options- hidden headlight/release, light pkg, pedal dress up, vinyl top (full,R/T is higher pkg.), leather/cloth seats. Mine has the R/T door panels, no bumper surround, lower valence, or w.shield/door trim. Again, the R/T supersedes. So the difference here- the seats. So how hard do you think it was to get with cash in hand in 71' ? A lot of 1 of none (s) were built to get a sale. You should know better as nothing was denied on ordered cars. I'm sure there's more than mine made, but how many ?

@mikesbbody I have a Y8 Charger R/T in garage with the 5 S.E. options on double fender tag, R/T ordered car. Previous owner said this was the 2nd Texas R/T Charger he had with the S.E options. The most popular option on a R/T for 2 yrs then dropped ? Tell a Texan he can't have the car he wants. Next to it: 72' 340/4spd R.R, 69' F8 GTX 4spd dealer drag car, w/ 1 opt ! I know what I have, was available, no prod. #'s listed as it was just options. Gonna say it's not when I have them ?
