This unit works pretty well but I will replace the capacitors before placing it into use. It has a Garrard turntable with ceramic cartridge and 2 sealed speaker enclosures inside the console cabinet.
It uses 2 6BQ5 output tubes per channel.

  • Nice old unit!

The deck is pronounced "gar-rard" (as in garage) though, very common this side of the pond. they made the famous SP25 which every student had in the early 70's.

  • i love estate sales too

  • That amplifier looks a lot like one that Olson Electronics (60s tube amplifier) sold with their logo on it (a sticker no doubt). I don't know if you heard of Olson's down in TX, but it was mail order from Akron Ohio, and they had stores in OH and other states..

  • Yeah the LP needle works fine the record could just be dusty

  • Thats a really cool unit, Chad! I love consoles for sound quality.
