if i had to compare his ironic/satirical writing style to anyone i think it actually strikes me as similar to that of jello biafra of the dead kennedy's.. "kill the poor" especially.. though it lacks some of the subtlety and complexity randy newman often has

err... actually you can hardly buy bullets because of fearmongering from the NRA, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

It's satire because the lyrics convey the heartlessness and ruthlessness of Empire, while pretending to glorify the idea.

can only assume people are wilfully misunderstanding. Maybe the idea of a song that actually means something, has a message and uses satire and irony to get that message across is completely alien to todays 'x-factor' generation.

dangerous... how is it possilbe a person can say such things without getting in trouble... that guy litterally says, americans should kill me... and youre all so against terror... so what is this? this is terror... hmm, why would so many nations hate america? could this attitude be it? instead of singing, lets ban the big one now, he is singing for the enialation of the whole world. and people are applauding! what is this? do you really want this terror? this is no joke, this is just weird.
