Hi. Sorry a bit confused. Do you mean before he commits suicide? The music over the scene of his death is incidental for the film.

Hitler said if you can control what the people watch on tv, read on the newspaper, and what they listen to, you can control them, the reason why the movie showed nazis prohibiting this music is because it showed rebellion he didn't black people who were a major part of swing and jewish people like benny goodman thats why the nazis were prohibiting this type of music.

@DerAnstifter Er---WHO'S sanitizing history here? Dr. Goebbels' Ministry Of Propaganda utilized swing music as a tool. (Witness the rather pathetic recordings of'Charlie And The Boys, trying to marry 'swing' music with a patently Nazi Party-line message). Glenn Miller's psychological-warfare broadcasts drew so many listeners among German troops because the message behind it wasn't crap---and the music was pretty damned good, as well. I've got most of the available recordings.

Even Hitler's first men danced to this music. This movie is so fake. Swing was NOT prohibited, it's just that it couldn't exceed the 20% of all music played. BUT NOT COMPLETELY PROHIBITED as this movie shows. This is just one more example of how the movie industry has been satanized the Nazi Germany.
