Pismo Beach is in the central coast of Ca. Pismo is 3 hours south of San Fran and 3 hours north of LA. The dunes cover about 6 miles to be used for off roading. The dunes in Pismo are the only legal place in CA to offroad on the coast. Its a blast. I live about 2 hours away from Pismo and every labor day, July 4th, and memorial day the dunes are packed solid with sick lifted trucks, rv's, 5th wheels, atv's, dirt bikes, and dune buggies
