Krist was calling himself Chris up until he made a trip to Croatia in 1993, after which he reverted to the original Croatian spelling.

You'll see he is credited on the Bleach, Nevermind and Incesticide he is credited as Chris Novoselic, but on In Utero and the subsequent live albums it is spelt Krist.
