Mick Ronson's 1968 Les Paul Custom, as it is today at the Guitar Hangar, Brookfield, Connecticut, USA. I got to play this in 2008 when visiting the US.

Please see the link from the Guitar Hangar below for more details of the guitar's history and the changes Mick made to it during his lifetime.

Apologies to all for the bad guitar playing, especially to you Mick.
Rest in Peace.

  • thats one to cross off your bucket list! aso, the guy off camera talking about driving you there and laughing sounds uncannilly like Bowie! Nice one

  • @ThePaddyjohn - wish it had been Bowie. I guess its because he's also a cockney lad!

  • I think Mick (R.I.P) would turn in his grave if had to listen to this!

  • @totalcontrast .. Ha Ha! I'm sure he would. I would also much prefer for this guitar to still be in Mick's hands. He was my hero, and is still sorely missed. It was great to see & play the guitar though.

  • Search for Ziggy Stardust - Live in Oxford 1973 as YouTube won't let you paste links.

  • @s1d10we - saw it, brilliant, great to see the footage of Ronno. Its amazing how much stuff is coming out. I believe the Top of the Pops Jean Genie "lost" footage has now been found, a BBC cameraman

has the tapes. Can't wait to see that again after all these years.

  • Damn man YOU LUCKY!

  • @babiesheadfloatin .... I think Mick would be proud of you still playing his stuff after such a long time. Thank you for the video.

  • That was sick!

  • @totalcontrast - Ha! You have a sense of humour...:-) Good on ya! Must have been a real thrill. I'd certainly like to chop out some of Mick riffs on it. Amazing how much you miss the guys that are gone isn't it. They were proper guitar heroes.
