WMBR at MIT had a contest back in the 80s to do remakes of Sex Bomb. This was on a show called Late Risers Club, which can be audited to this day on the net. Many hilarious versions were produced, including a rap style effort with the lines:
She's a sex bomb baby
And don't worry 'bout the stork
She was sterilized in prison
By the State of New York.

Got to see Flipper at the Fab Mab (Mabuhay Gardens) in San Francisco in the early '80s. They almost seemed embarrassed that Sex Bomb was a hit record.

I can hear a Pixies influence. Which makes sense because everyone else is saying 'Nirvana' and Nirvana were influenced by the Pixies.

Hm, but Flipper was around long before either the Pixies or Nirvana formed. Flipper was a influence on them not the other way around.
