A lot of people who said they knew what they were doing decided to wiggle, strut and bounce their way down Geary Street on Friday at high noon, in time to a brass band. "This is fun," said Barbara Williams of Oakland. "If I were doing it by myself, I would feel silly. But with all these other people, it's OK." What she was doing was dancing in a conga line. It was supposed to be the longest conga line on the West Coast, but it wasn't, because a conga line is only as long as the number of otherwise sensible people who can be conned into joining it.
I agree. That is not a conga line its more like a parade.
