Silver Hills ODE 2010

This is our first official ODE. Pike was so well behaved. At every pony club ODE that we have done I have fallen off due to him bucking over jumps so for him to go clear is great!!

I went just wanting to not get eliminated so to come home with a place in my first ever official ODE made me extremely happy!!!

Dressage 58% 13th place (we were extremely ripped off, Seriously!! :(
Showjumping 4 penalties (pole down) 10th place
Cross Country clear 6th place

6th place overall out of between 25-30 riders (not to mention out of much older, more experienced riders (I am just out of the age bracket for juniors lol)

don't think many ppl would say lucky only a few years back lol. He has a story behind him. Nobody would ride him before I got him.

But in a way I am lucky to have him. He has taught me so much and vise versa

wow u and pike are sooo versitile. ive been working on being like tht but it really hard. the videoa ive seen of u i think u are better at jymping idk y but i do. but im weird like tht

I think we do better in Jumping and such because he isn't the best conformation wise to do flat work such as dressage & showing. He has a short neck that makes him look tucked up, short legs that don't cover much ground, his bums higher than his wither making him downhill and he isn't pretty (I like to think he's sexy though).

But all this doesn't matter for jumping, sporting and generally having fun. As long as he clears the jumps and tries his best then theres nothing stopping him. Plus its a bonus that he likes to jump and sport and laze around. Where as he doesn't like flat work as much (you can tell by the expression on his face)
