Installation of a coolant filter kit on an 03-07 Ford Powerstroke 6.0. Installing a coolant filter kit is perhaps one of the best bits of preventitive maintenence you can do for your 6.0 Powerstroke.

  • Looks like your draining green coolant from the truck...

  • Would a clogged EGR valve cause a lope sound in the engine during a cold start up?

  • I'm thinking of buying a 6.0 psd in the near future. Do you recommend removing the EGR valve in conduction with installing this cooling filter kit

  • Thanks for the helpful vid, but you might want to mention the optional heater thingamajig on that 3/4" line that gets in the way a little. My truck had it and it was pretty cramped to work around it. Fortunately the DieselSite filter I had gotten included pictures of the option as well as which side of it to tap off of.
