Mormon's central belief is that salvation only comes in and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. In other words, only by the GRACE of God will they be saved.

They do believe that utter disregard for His commandments makes a mockery of His Atonement (mocking God = blasphemy).

I am curious to know how "Christian" is defined so as to exclude these Mormons...

Mormonionism's a religion that fools people into thinking they fall under the umbrella of Christianity. It's a lie. Jesus and lucifer aren't brothers, Heavenly Father didn't come down and have physical sex w/ Mary to create Jesus, and God wasn't once a human he doesn't live on the star/planet Kolob. Those are mormonion beliefs. Get it?
