FOH At The Hard Rock's New Joint

2006 grad Nick Simonds is FOH engineer at the Las Vegas Hard Rock hotel's new live sound venue. Nick picked all the gear for the new 4100 seat concert facility including Digidesign's D-Show console and a D&B line array system.

@Blackopcodered I got 20 years doing this. I started with my uncles mexican folk music band who did end up touring with some BIG name latino stars. I was actually doing sound for about 3,000 people a night and had only 2 years of experience at that time. So I learned from alot of well experienced sound man. Man I asked so many questions some of them just ignored me or told me I don`t have time. But I kept asking. I did blow 1 speaker in Guadalajara Mexico, we carried extras so..

@delacerdaa Its not as easy as you think like most people think its just moving faders and see what will come up and they pick a educated pro`s faster than a guy that needs to learn all the stuff, its a risk for a company to have a guy from the street. he could blow up an PA from thousands of dollars. I know believe me im going for school for this. In the old days it was easy if you look at consoles now you really need to go to school for this.
