  • thank you, this was a great how-to video!!!

  • Thank you shjara5! I am glad that you liked it.

  • Some cat5 cable does not have that string. I make these same terminations at work. Very good video. It is hard to explain to new employees the proper procedure and to follow print.

  • Thanks for your comment. It is Greatly appreciated. Good luck with your new employees.

    PS. Happy Holidays!!!

  • so many tools.. why use a scisor and splicer when the crimping tool has all of it.

  • It is my prerogative. There are many tools indeed! There are also a variety of ways or methods to accomplish this and other tasks. If you do not feel comfortable using sharp objects.. in this case "scissors", you are free to use a different method. Always use caution when using scissors, sharp blades, sharp objects or knives. Always use common sense and Safety First!

  • @SKarmytech red means the pair are reversed.

example: white-strip and brown one end is presented brown and white-strip brown to the other on 7 and 8 plug terminals..

  • I think pair brown at one end is reversed! ;)

  • Hey why doesnt cable # 7 blink on the tester? My cables work fine though.

  • nice vid,
