  • I know stu and bob are amazing anglers, but I don't like the way the solid bag is being presented, I would use an online lead with a 3 inch hooklink and put the lead and rig I'n the bag as you would if carp fishing,

    I bet the results would be a lot different then

  • Hi David i agree with what you are saying, the footage was more of a how not to do it, i guess most anglers nick a bag on when fishing rivers, i used to but not anymore.

  • With the solid PVA bags I normally snip both the bottom corners off, it's supprising how much you can snip off and nothing falls out, this allows the air to escape straight away. you can also put quite big holes in the bag without it falling apart (with scissors).Another trick would be to collect a couple of small stones and put them in the bottom or top of the bag, that way you could fish a long hook link.
