James, 11 1/2, with 2 1/2 years of training, was a winner in our local modern music festival with this piece, Toccata in F minor by Robert D. Vandall. James has played it more flawlessly and with even better dynamics and feeling at other times, but this is the performance when the video camera was rolling. I'm sure every parent understands! At any rate, I saw several Vandall pieces on the internet but not this one. And Toccata in F minor is so fantastic that I thought it should be heard. So I've overcome my taste for privacy and placed this video of James on you tube. Enjoy!
