I'd take a doberman over a pitt ANY day. Oh wait, I already did! lol. Pitbulls are not only ugly dogs, but the doberman is considerably, and recognised to be, smarter. I could care less which one would win a fight. I've heard of dobermans winning, and I've heard of pitbulls winning. Both are large powerful dogs, but the PB just isn't for me. People who fight dogs disgust me, and if I ever catch someone doing it, they'll catch a .45 in the teeth.

Many of you sound like kids..ANY Large Molosser can kill a PittBull..Even a very pissed off (Cujo?) St.Bernard or Tibetan Mastiff!!! Come on guys...Face reality...A 220 pounds Giant Beast covered with long hair with a 500lbs of bite Force use a Pittbull as a snack before the main course... All the taling about "they were bred to fight, the have gameness" is nonsense...

lol doberman would win if it was a real fight reasons lets see... a doberman actaully has a stronger bite than a pitbull so does a german shepard, dobermans are stronger regardless wat ne one says, dobermans are faster everyone knows this (personal experience), dobermans are also smarter but not sure if that would help in a fight..and people the only reasons pits are used to fight is because they are small so they are easy to hide and will do ne thing to please their master.

@MatthewWiddison Yeah man, pit's are built to fight!! I reckon though that an English Bull Terrier would be every bit as good as a pitbull in a full on scrap!! English bull terriers pack on more muscle, pound for pound than any other dog breed, fact!! Anyway man, I just wish the day of dog-fighting was gone coz pit's are beautiful dogs, i had a pit for years and he was one of the best dogs i ever owned.. :)

Ive heard many times that mix breed dogs certainly suffer from less health problems and are healthier than purebreeds, alot of purebreeds suffer illness's directly atributed to their breed,the fact that they've been bred that way,like thoses chinese(err,ones with loads of baggy skin lol)suffer from loads of eye problems.Bulldogs suffer from breathing problems etc..
