I wanted to make a video, highlighting all the must see's of Jacksonville, IL. With the help of the WEAI listeners, I put together a list, and with out stopping, I video recorded the journey and took pictures of the sites. They are not the best pics, but they will do. I used the song Jacksonville by Sufjan Stevens, it is actually about this town. It's not the official video for the song, just something to show off Jacksonville, IL. Enjoy

Where's the Steak and Shake? Tops Big Boy was my favorite growing up-especially when I was in High School. Great Video. The "Square" is now done. That's what I call it and spent a lot of time driving around when I was younger. Thanks

This made me homesick - cute video, thanks for sharing. I grew up in Jacksonville but moved away when I was 12. No matter what great cities I've lived in (Athens, GA, San Francisco, CA, Savannah, GA and now Atlanta, GA) there is always a part of me that misses J'Ville and thinks of it fondly. I can't wait to come see my family and see what they've done to the square. Again, thanks for the home town fix today. :)

Uh, no. First, you forgot the trailer parks where half of the real people rise up from; Maple Crest and Gold Coast; woop. Further, you could have just shot a video from MCDC to the hospital and stuck with the general theme to begin with. I'm guessing a "must see" video of Jacksonville is somewhere in the 15 second land using the frame rate you utilized for this vid. Lastly, why not have rich white people and state workers narrate it instead of the sound track; keep it real and all?
