Greeks never spoke latin as their official language. After all they considered any other language besides their , as a barbaric ( barbarian).Of cource many actually knew latin as any of the nations who were under the roman possession this period. In contrary , There were the Romans and entire the eastern nations ( becausy of Alexander the Great ) who spoke greek. One example of that is that all the first christian gospels and generally the texts were written in greek.
