Here i was trialling tank run times in my MBX-6 With the Team Infinity .21 5B Turbo Pro motor.that was running an OS 2060 pipe with the Novarossi 41030 manifold. These engines are available in Australia exclusively from www.plaig.com.au. This motor halls arse and is also very reasonably priced.

This video was taken at around the 15 litre mark and i have done nothing to it yet and still has bucketloads of compression. I have the ceramic bearing kit for it and also a new rod which i will put in before the next run.

There are racers alike that have been quoting 10 minute tank times with the ceramics installed but i am yet to confirm this.

Being new to the racing scene i have been working through some minor tuning issues and am now consistently running late 7 minute tank times on a conservative HSN mix. I have had it out to an 8min 20sec run and the temps were about 124 Degrees C max.

For a thirsty 5 port engine this thing has an amazing amount of power right through the band. and revs out to an amazing 45,000 RPM so leaves you plenty of gearing options with the right clutch spring tension. ( i will be trying an adjustable clutch soon to get it just right)

This video was taken after a bit of LSN trialling in an effort to get run times up and was still reasonably lubricated on top and the tank times were around 7min 40 sec and temps were around 115-120 Degrees C (239 -249 Degrees F)

Team Infinity have been supplying motors for the cheaper entry level market to such Manufacturers as HSP and Wind Hobby for several years now and i have been the lucky owner of 2 of these pull starts even the 2.95cc...18 pull start variants will get a 1/8th scale buggy up and moving. There are also .28 and .32 pullstart or rotostart variants available and also an incredible .21 small block side port.

These engines are a welcome progression into the pro nitro field of engine production and the next natural step for a company such as Team Infinity and are an exact copy of the RB Products Killer 9 motor under licensee with the only notable differences being the crank case and cooling head..

If you're looking for a pro motor thats reasonably cheap with good backup and service. then look at www.plaig.com.au/store for the Australian exclusive purchase point. Ask for Trev.
