Well I went down to ol' Joe's bar room
Down on the corner by the square.
They were serving drinks as usual,
And the usual crowd was there.
In the corner sat big Joe McKennedy,
His eyes were bloodshot red,
And as he turned to adress the crowd around him,
These were the very words that he said:
Well I went down to St. James Infirmary,
To see my baby there.
She was laid out on that long white table,
so cold, so pale, so fair.
Let her go, let her go, God bless her!
Wherever she may be
Let her search that whold wide world over
Never find a man as sweet as me,
She'll never find a man as sweet as me...
When I die won't you bury me
In my high-top Stetson hat
Put a twenty-dollar gold piece on my watch chain
So the gang will know I died standing pat.
I want six crap-shooters for pallbearers
Pretty gals sing me a song.
I want a jazz band on my hearse wagon
To raise hell as we roll on.
Won't you roll out that rubber-tied hack
Won't you roll out that rubber-tied hack
Thirteen men goin' out to that old graveyard
There's only twelve of them men comin' back
Now that you've heard my story
Have another shot of booze
And if anybody should ask
I've got the St. James Infirmary blues
I've got the St. James Infirmary blues
Dude that was awsome!! What's the cords? I love that song!!!!!!

nice guitar, but this rendition just doesn't do it for me, it's like the blues were sucked out.

@mackdaddie222 That's true... this rendition is based on the Devil Makes Three version. it's very bluegrassie.... I grew up listening to a lot of grunge, and somehow i can't seem to get rid of it... heheheh... it transpires in everything i play! Thanks for the comment!
